Right of Way
The public right of way is generally anywhere along a public street or sidewalk and within 10-15 feet behind the street curb or edge of pavement. Most streets and sidewalks within Creve Coeur are part of the City's right of way, but many streets are owned and maintained by the State of Missouri, St. Louis County, or a private subdivision. Notable exceptions to the City's right of way include Olive Boulevard, Lindbergh Boulevard, Mason Road, and Ladue Road west of Emerson Road.
For a list of the streets in Creve Coeur and the maintenance responsibility for each, please see the street list.
A Right of Way Permit is required for any work within the right of way of the City of Creve Coeur. Typical work within the right of way includes driveway apron replacement and utility work. To learn more about the right-of-way permit, fees, and requirements, please view Permit Application & Instructions.
State statute provides separate requirements for small cell wireless facilities.
