Drone Program

Mission

The purpose of the Creve Coeur Police Department’s Unmanned Aircraft program is to maintain trained personnel in the use of unmanned aircraft systems and to use this resource to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Creve Coeur by providing aerial support to include, but not limited to, finding missing persons, visual reconstruction of crime scenes and traffic crashes, and other public safety tasks that can best be accomplished from the air in an efficient, effective and legal manner.

Overview

Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), more commonly referred to as drones, have proven to be a valuable resource for law enforcement, first responders, and during emergency service operations.  The Creve Coeur Police Department, and many other law enforcement agencies, have adopted drone programs after seeing the benefits and value they provide to improving public safety.
