Home Safe

What is Home Safe?

The Creve Coeur Police Department is encouraging loved ones of residents with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, etc. to enroll in Home Safe. This is a free program that the Creve Coeur Police Department offers to help officers develop plans and establish contact with individuals with medical conditions or disabilities.

The information registered through Home Safe is quickly accessible and provides law enforcement with crucial information about persons with disabilities or medical conditions in order to get them home safely.

The following information is needed to register for Home Safe:

  • Diagnosis or medical condition
  • Emergency contacts
  • What names they are responsive to
  • If they can verbally communicate, or how they communicate
  • Medication needs
  • Places or routes they frequent
  • If they have any sensory issues
