Tappmeyer Homestead: Annie Malone Program
Sunday, July 10, 2022
Annie Malone was a trail-blazing pioneer in business and philanthropy in the early 1900s when women of color were not acknowledged by the leaders of our community or country. Linda Nance, Founding President of the Annie Malone Historical Society, will talk about Annie’s life and accomplishments at Tappmeyer Homestead, 2 Barnes West Drive, Millennium Park, on Sunday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m.
Following a career in law enforcement, Linda served on the Webster Groves Board of Education and co-founded A Call to Conscience, an interactive theatre group working for social change. Currently working on advanced degrees in museum studies and educational practice, Linda is also Missouri’s historian for the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs. An exhibit on Annie Malone is open noon to 4:00 p.m. July 10 and 24 at Tappmeyer.
Reservations are necessary for Linda’s presentation. Email TappmeyerHomestead@gmail.com to reserve your spot.
