The City Council is hosting a public hearing on Monday, April 8, 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for fiscal years 2020-2024. 

The CIP includes projects such as construction of sidewalks, installation of park amenities, street resurfacing and improvements to the stormwater system. Funding for projects comes from the city’s half-cent capital improvement sales tax, grants, and transfers from the general fund. The CIP process includes: 1) input from residents, elected and appointed officials and city staff; 2) preparation of the draft CIP by city staff; 3) review of the CIP by the Planning & Zoning Commission, Finance Committee and City Council; 4) a public hearing; and 5) final adoption by the City Council.
