[ARCHIVED] Capital Improvement Program Public Hearing Notice

CIP

Capital Improvement Program Public Hearing
Monday, April 13, 7:00 p.m.
Online Meeting

The City Council is hosting an online public hearing on Monday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for fiscal years 2021-2025.

As a precautionary measure to help prevent exposure and spread of COVID-19, the CIP public hearing will be livestreamed online. Public attendance will be limited in the Council Chambers in order to follow social distancing recommendations from St. Louis County. Citizens are encouraged to participate and submit public comments in advance or during the livestream. A link to the livestream will be posted prior to the meeting. Learn more.

The CIP includes projects such as construction of sidewalks, installation of park amenities, street resurfacing and improvements to the stormwater system. Funding for projects comes from the city’s half-cent capital improvement sales tax, grants, and transfers from the general fund. The CIP process includes: 1) input from residents, elected and appointed officials and city staff; 2) preparation of the draft CIP by city staff; 3) review of the CIP by the Planning & Zoning Commission, Finance Committee and City Council; 4) a public hearing; and 5) final adoption by the City Council.
