WHAT IS PROPOSITION C?
On November 3, 2020, Creve Coeur citizens will vote on Proposition C, a parks and stormwater sales tax which, if approved, would provide funding for local parks and stormwater control in Creve Coeur.
Three citizen committees—the Finance, Parks & Historic Preservation, and Stormwater Committee—recommended placing this measure on the November ballot. Funding for parks and stormwater control needs has historically been very limited, but the long-term trend of flat to declining sales tax revenues has exacerbated the need to consider other means of funding these city services.
If approved by voters, revenue collected from the parks and stormwater half-cent sales tax will be used to improve and maintain public parks and stormwater infrastructure in Creve Coeur. Learn more about recommendations for park improvements and stormwater control at www.crevecoeurmo.gov/PropC.
