[ARCHIVED] Mid-Winter Limb Chipping

Mid Winter Limb Chipping

Public Works crews will make one pass through the city for the mid-winter limb chipping program beginning Monday, January 25. Please have limbs at the curb for chipping by 7:00 a.m. the morning of January 25 to ensure pickup.

Update as of 2/23/2021: Now that the snow, ice and frigid temperatures have passed, our mid-winter Limb Collection Program has resumed. Prior to the storms, limbs placed at the curb in Wards 3 & 4 were picked up. Crews are currently picking up limbs in Wards 1 & 2 and will continue until completed.

Program Guidelines:

  • Place your limbs at the curb for chipping—not in the street.
  • Limbs must be more than 3 feet long.
  • Limbs must be at least 0.5 inches in diameter, but no more than 3 inches in diameter, to qualify.
  • Piles are limited to 300 cubic feet per pickup (i.e., 10' wide x 5' tall x 6' deep).
