[ARCHIVED] Sign Up to Receive Real-Time Public Safety Alerts

Nixle Public Safety Alerts

St. Louis saw record amounts of rainfall early last month, making it the wettest two-week period ever recorded in St. Louis, according to the St. Louis National Weather Service. During this time, the Creve Coeur Police Department and St. Louis County Office of Emergency Management sent out text alerts about flood warnings and road closures using a notification system called Nixle.

Public Safety Alerts

Nixle is a community information service that can securely and reliably send alerts to keep the community informed of local events that may immediately impact your safety. Alerts can be sent through text, email, voice message or the Everbridge (Nixle) mobile app in an instant. Types of alerts include:

  • Severe Weather
  • Criminal Activity
  • Severe Traffic & Road Closures
  • Missing Persons

You can sign up to receive text alerts by texting your ZIP code to 888777. Additionally, you can keep track of alerts with the Everbridge app. Through the app, users can choose what type of notifications they would like to receive.

The Creve Coeur Police Department began using Nixle in 2021. The Creve Coeur Police Department previously used CodeRed for public safety alerts, prior to switching to Nixle in 2021. Your contact information provided to the City of Creve Coeur and Nixle remains private and will only be used for community notifications.
