[ARCHIVED] Council Approves Map Plan for Boundary Commission

Map

On Monday, June 11, City Council approved a resolution to submit an annexation Map Plan to the St. Louis County Boundary Commission as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The proposed Map Plan outlines the maximum boundaries that the City may consider for potential annexation by the year 2023.

The St. Louis County Boundary Commission requires that all cities must submit a Map Plan by July 1, 2018 in order to be considered for annexation within its next five-year planning cycle. However, submission of the Map Plan does not obligate the City to pursue annexation, which would require extensive evaluation.

The Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the Map Plan at its meeting on May 21 and unanimously recommended approval. The proposed Map Plan follows recommendations made in the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Creve Coeur 2030.The Map Plan and supporting materials are available at www.crevecoeurmo.gov/CompPlan.

For additional information, please contact Jason Jaggi, Director of Community Development, at (314) 872–2504 or jjaggi@crevecoeurmo.gov.

The St. Louis Boundary Commission will hold public hearings on municipal map plans in the fall. More information will be available on the Commission’s website at www.boundarycommission.com.
